About
Welcome to Café Peri, a vibrant Turkish café nestled on Potsdamer Str. 203 in Berlin. As you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere envelops you, promising a delightful culinary experience. Known for its friendly staff and cozy ambiance, Café Peri is an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy a flavorful Turkish meal.
The star of the show here is undoubtedly the kumpir. Customers have raved about this baked potato dish, declaring it one of the best they've ever had. With generous portions and exceptional taste, it’s no wonder many diners keep returning for another round. One enthusiastic patron even described it as a "10/10," highlighting both the quality and quantity of the food. It exemplifies the café's commitment to delivering satisfying meals that do not compromise on flavor.
However, like any dining experience, there are moments of inconsistency. One customer shared their disappointment with a dish that was overly oily, overshadowing the potential of what could have been a delightful meal. But fear not, as the fresh salad and bread provided a refreshing balance to the greasy mishap. The consensus seems to be that while some dishes may miss the mark, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly service make it a venture worth repeating.
Breakfast at Café Peri is particularly noteworthy. Diners have enjoyed a range of offerings, with fresh flavors that justify any wait. It’s a place where you can sit back, unwind, and relish your meal, though it’s wise to manage your expectations regarding service speed during busy times.
With fair prices that reflect the quality of food and a location conveniently close to U Kleistpark, Café Peri stands out in the bustling Berlin dining scene. Whether you're a seeker of a hearty breakfast or a leisurely lunch, this café offers a taste of Turkey right in the heart of the city. So, join the crowd, experience the friendly vibes, and perhaps indulge in that infamous kumpir that has taken Berlin by storm!
“ Friendly people, also speak English, amazing ambience! Food was very good! ”
“ Kumpir was good, but it would be better if they offer chicken instead of sausages ”
“ The Turkish café had a warm and inviting vibe, and the breakfast was genuinely delicious — fresh flavors that made the wait worthwhile. Prices were fair, definitely good value for what you get. The only downside was the service: very slow, and it took quite a while just to place an order. If you’re not in a hurry, it’s a nice spot to enjoy a tasty Turkish breakfast, but don’t expect quick service. ”
“ Came here with a Turkish friend to try the best kumpir in Beriln (according to her). I've never tried it before, but genuinely loved everything about it! You just pay a set amount and pick any topping you like, and they have a combo menu with kumpir + dessert + drink as well. Besides kumpir there's plenty of other lunch options available and they do take card, but no reservations. As we went on a Saturday evening had to queue for a little bit but it was more than worth, definitely will be back! ”
“ Perhaps the food I got was a miss. Drenched in oil, could barely eat some cause was hungry. Fresh salad and bread saved the situation slightly to offset the grease. Should’ve tried something else. Dish looked pleasant at least. Staff super friendly though. Would totally give it another try with different dish. ”
“ The kumpir was a 10/10. Food generally is very good, the restaurant itself was very busy but the service was still attentive. My new favorite Turkish breakfast in Berlin. ”
“ One of the best Kumpir that I've ever eaten. Have been going back often. Quantity and quality - both top notch. Friendly staff and the place is just next to U Kleistpark. We go there for lunch from office. ”
“ Delicious Turkish food in Berlin and spectacular, beautifully presented drinks. Didn’t get to take photos… but I’d come back a thousand times! Highly recommended. ”
